The National Geographic-branded traveling exhibition "50 Greatest Landscapes"-Exhibit at Disneyland Paris. Of course, my artwork was on display!

Exhibit at Disneyland Paris. A traveling exhibition held by National Geographic around the world.
Disneyland Paris celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, and they are having major event activities. My work is titled "Hokkaido Pond," the green pond in the upper right corner of the attached photo. As you can see, the colors are few and vivid, and I am proud to say that it stands out the most among the 50 works... LOL.

My contract with National Geographic has been extended for another three years and will be exhibited in more locations around the world.

I was contacted by National Geographic USA.

Dear Mr. Kent,
The National Geographic-branded traveling exhibition "50 Greatest Landscapes" has been on tour since 2018, and has been seen by hundreds of thousands of museum visitors around the world. The exhibition has toured to locations in the United States and internationally. It has been so well received by museums!

We are planning to extend the exhibition by an additional three years. As such, we would like to amend our image license agreement for your image of Hokkaido Pond. As a reminder, I have attached the original license for the use of the image. The original license expires April 16, 2023. We would like to extend the license to April 16, 2026. Please let us know at your earliest convenience if this is acceptable to you and I will draft up an amendment for your review and approval. If you require additional payment, please let me know what your proposed rate would be.

Allow me to provide some additional context regarding the traveling exhibition. We work closely and directly with venues around the world to host our traveling exhibitions. 50 Greatest Landscapes has been presented internationally at Museon-Omniversum in the Hague, the Netherlands and at Disneyland Paris in France. In the US, it has been at the San Diego Natural History Museum in California, the Lake Charles Cultural Center in Louisiana, and the Saint Louis Science Center in Missouri. We also ask for estimated visitor numbers. All totaled since 2018, it has been viewed by an estimated 1,008,000 visitors in all of these locations.
Best,
******

I already have a 5 year contract with National Geographic and have extended it for another 3 years. Given the opportunity, I would love to see the amazing exhibit with my own eyes. And if you read this article, please visit the National Geographic-branded traveling exhibition "50 Greatest Landscapes" when it opens in your country.
Thank you.

When it comes to art and design, the hottest thing out of chilly Hokkaido is photographer Kent Shiraishi. Mac enthusiasts working on the Apple operating system probably already have one of his simple yet arresting photographs – “Blue Pond and First Snow” – as wallpaper on their laptop screens. The Blue Pond, which Shiraishi has captured in every season, is fed from a volcanic hot spring, so its hyper-natural turquoise color can be partially explained by the presence of minerals.
